Andrea on 2025-03-09 (2 stars): Kofta originates from the Middle East and India, specifically with roots from Iran and Turkey. It is comprised of ground beef or lamb, onion, garlic, parsley and a variety of spices. What exactly makes this Israeli kofta? The recipe is identical to dozens of other kofta recipes out there; I fail to see the Israeli influence here.
Ozlem on 2025-01-11 (5 stars): Will have to try these Arabian/Mediterranean style Köftes. Yum
Shiloh on 2024-03-06 (4 stars): This recipe doesn't have any of the ingredients usually added to kofta that make it extra flavorful. Try adding sumac or oregano, allspice, and nutmeg to the mix along with a little Greek yogurt!
NJoshua on 2023-07-10 (5 stars): Amazing, and fairly easy to make! I didn't have parsley so subbed with cilantro and it still tasted excellent. I feel like you can't go wrong with this recipe. There were no leftovers, and this will definitely be on our rotation! Thank you to the author :)
Patricia Crowe on 2021-08-14 (5 stars): You have fabulous recipes here. My entire family loves your Israeli Salad and now I'm making your Beef Kofta recipe as well. Can't get enough and so easy. Great flavor all round for both.
HL on 2021-01-27 (5 stars): Thank you for sharing your family recipe! I had some leftover fresh parsley from another meal and found this recipe after an internet search for "beef and parley."
I pan fired it and served with rice cooked w/ carrots and salad. Dressed the rice with salt and butter.. Delicious.
This recipe is super easy and flavorful- the use of the small food processor made all the difference in achieving a fine chop to meld into the meat.
Maureen on 2020-06-05 (5 stars): Made tonight as pita sandwiches with hummus and veggies. Kiddos love it. Thanks!
Marissa on 2019-09-14 (5 stars): Thank you for the recipe! It was super delicious. Made mine on a George Foreman grill and shaped them like sausages and they cooked up quickly. Great recipe to satisfy a craving for Mediterranean cuisine.
