Thinly slice your chicken breasts or you can buy pre sliced/chicken cutlets. On a large plate mix the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Get both sides of the chicken covered in the seasoned flour, and set to the side. 2. Heat up your pan on medium/medium-high. Add in the 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Lay your chicken cutlets in (if your pan isn’t big enough, you may need to do this in 2 batches). Cook on each side for 3-5 minutes or until a nice golden brown color. Remove and set aside. It’s ok if they’re not all the way cooked. They’ll finish cooking in the sauce. 3. Turn the heat to low and add in 2 tablespoons butter. Add in your diced shallot and minced garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Add in the mushrooms along with the thyme, salt, and pepper. Add more butter if needed. Sauté for about 3 minutes. 4. Add in your wine and scrape the bottom of the pan to get all the flavor. After about 5 minutes, or when the mushrooms have soaked up a majority of the wine, add the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir. 5. Add the chicken back in. Once it starts simmering, keep the heat on low/medium low. Spoon the sauce over chicken. Let it simmer and thicken. Takes around 10 minutes. Add fresh chopped parsley to top it off. I like having mine with buttered noodles or mashed potatoes! #easyrecipes #cookwithme #dinnerideas #foodie #chickenmarsala".
