My basic argument was soup was brothy and stew was thick (though I acknowledged sometimes a stew could be brothy and soup could be thick, which then I guess it becomes more of a “vibe check”). Chili, to me, is a stew— but what if (by design) it’s a little brothy? I guess we really CAN have it all, what bliss!
