She works with the Ocean Biogeochemistry and Physical Oceanography teams at AOML. Her research focuses on the intersection of climate science, physical oceanography, and coral reef ecology to understand and address threats to ocean ecosystems. Currently, she is analyzing data from Biogeochemical-Argo floats in the Gulf of America and Caribbean to better understand ecosystem changes by measuring not only temperature and salinity but oxygen, nitrate, pH, chlorophyll, and particle backscatter. She has recently been selected to serve a one year term as a member of the NOAA in the Caribbean Executive Team, where she will help provide strategic direction as the team aims to share NOAA’s scientific knowledge with Caribbean communities.
