Was very happy with the results and even though the recipe is still kind of in progress, I wanted to share it with you guys! It is quite an elaborate meal for sure and will take a while to put together. But it’s so worth it! Please give me feedback if you guys do try it out! Swipe for the detailed recipe āž”ļø And if you aren’t familiar, Litti Chokha is a very traditional and popular meal coming from Bihar and the nearby regions of India. It consists of Litti which is a whole wheat dough ball stuffed with a spicy stuffing made of roasted gram flour called sattu. For this keto version, I have created the dough using a mix of almond flour and flaxseed meal which actually turned out pretty great! Also swapped most of the sattu in the stuffing with these two ingredients leaving just 1 tbsp sattu behind which is totally optional and can be skipped if it doesn’t fit in your macros. Chokha is probably the best accompaniment that you can have with these littis. It is made of roasted and mashed veggies such as eggplant, tomatoes and potatoes. All the other ingredients used in the chokha are raw that makes it taste so fresh. The one thing most characteristic of it is the pungent and amazing flavor lended to it by the raw mustard oil! You are missing out if you haven’t tried how raw mustard oil tastes! I just skipped the potatoes that made this an awesome low-carb meal. šŸ˜ MACROS PER SERVING: For Litti (recipe makes 6 servings) Total: 398 calories Fat: 34.3 g Protein: 11 g Net carbs: 3.7 g (Total 10.7g, Fiber 7g) For Chokha (recipe makes around 3 servings) Total: 92 calories Fat: 4.9 g Protein: 2.1 g Net carbs: 6.5 g (Total 12.3g, Fiber 5.8g)".
