Or if no basil 2 handfuls of lemon verbena 1 small bowl ,as per previous photo , of lime blossom flowers leaves removed. 3 lemons rind and juice 2 tbs white wine vinegar 650 g sugar 1.75 litres boiling water Put sugar in large bowl pour over boiling water stir still dissolved Shake leaves and flowers to remove pollen beetles or any one else add leaves and flowers to sweet water once it’s cool add lemon peel, lemon juice and vinegar. Stir well cover with several layers of muslin to keep everything below the liquid surface. Leave for 24 hours. Strain through muslin pour into sterilised bottles. Try and keep for 7 days before drinking !! Mix cordial with fizzy water to taste it will keep for the summer if you do not finish it before. . #cordial #summer #homemade Ps it’s delicious.".
