1 deep dish (or 2 regular unbaked 9 inch pie crust)
Steps
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream the sugar and butter together.
Add the flour and beaten eggs and mix well.
Now add the buttermilk and vanilla; mix & pour into unbaked crust
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until tests done. Top should be slightly crusty and brown.
Let cool completely
Serve with whipped cream
Try not to eat it all. ?

Lisa on 2018-11-01 (4 stars): If you can't get recipes to print, try selecting the content that you want, then copy it. Paste it into WordPad. Edit as needed, and you can save, print, etc.
I didn't have any trouble setting up the recipe to print. I just RIGHT clicked, selected print, and the preview came up with the recipe right there.
Thank you for great post with these vintage pie recipes. I think I'll try them. My Grampa's favorite pie was an old one from my Grandma's 1920's BG&G cookbook : Rhubarb Cream Pie
