Guillo on 2025-12-24 (5 stars): Love your recipes. I made this for Thanksgiving and I am making it today again for nochebuena. Great job!
P. Williams on 2023-12-27 (5 stars): This came out amazing! I made some additions because my grandma always added yuca and green bananas to hers. The batter tasted exactly like home. I didn’t add cheese but made a chicken filling, and subbed olive oil for the butter just to make it a little healthier. It was a big hit with the family, both the Dominican and Black side of the family. This is my to go recipe for now on.
Patricia M on 2023-12-07 (5 stars): I made this for my family's Thanksgiving dinner last year and got rave reviews so I brought it back again this year! It's been requested for Noche Buena too! Safe to say, it's now my designated holiday dish. I wonder, have you had success making this with the pasteles de yuca batter?
Alexis on 2022-01-10 (5 stars): Hi, Tia Clara. I loved this recipe, super easy to make and delicious. It will be part of our Xmas menu every year! :).
Rosa J.H. on 2021-12-18 (5 stars): I made this dish and it was pretty good. Preparation was rather simple. I used a food processor and had to do it in small batches, my processor is old and not the best, but better than grating by hand. I didn’t use any dairy, so no cheese and I used almond milk for the batter. I didn’t buy the plantain leaves, but honestly I didn’t miss it. The dish was very tasty and I will be making it for Christmas again!
Carola Lola on 2021-11-28 (5 stars): Depoldio tia Clara. Why didn't you think of that before? I am going to make this for nochebuena.
