  1. In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp of vegan margarine over medium heat
  2. In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup nutritional yeast, 2 tbsp cornstarch, 1 cup water, 1/4 tsp ground turmeric, 1/8 tsp black salt, and a dash of black pepper and whisk to combine.
  3. Once the vegan margarine is melted, quickly whisk in the cornstarch mixture and whisk continuously until the mixture thickens. It'll be the consistency of runny egg yolk!
  4. Pour into a bowl and serve immediately with vegan buttered toast.
