This super easy baked salmon recipe is all you need to cook everyone’s favorite healthy fish to tender, meaty, flaky perfection. Dress it up, or keep it basic, it’s simply the best.
Preheat the oven to 375°F with a rack in the center position.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and pepper.
Place the salmon on a rimmed baking sheet, skin side down. Brush the salmon with the olive oil, then rub it with the spice mixture until completely coated.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes (depending on thickness), or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

SJ on 2026-02-25 (5 stars): Quite tasty! But too salty for our family. Recommend cutting the salt in half.
Vicki on 2026-02-09 (5 stars): What an EZ but delish dish!

Sonja on 2026-02-02 (5 stars): It is very hard for me to like salmon and this is one of the only recipes I like
Marsha Clements on 2026-01-31 (5 stars): I know what we buy in the store was frozen, but when I bought it, it had been thawed. Can I refreeze?
Lynann Shonk on 2026-01-13 (5 stars): My husband liked it better that any other salmon recipes that I have tried.
Zan Webb on 2026-01-08 (5 stars): Just made this; it's VERY tasty, and definitely a keeper! I'm kind of between grocery runs and out of honey, lemons, oranges, things I usually use in cooking salmon and don't want to do teriyaki salmon tonight, so I tried this. My cut was a bit on the thick side so I placed it one notch higher than center in the oven and it worked fine, though I had to give it a bit more time too; otherwise, it went totally to plan. Very nice!
Meg on 2026-01-08 (3 stars): Flavor was good but next time I will reduce the amount of salt. It was a little too salty for me. My son loved it.
No Chef Ty on 2026-01-06 (5 stars): Looking for tips! I tried out a recipe with brown sugar plus soy because I wanted a sauce....it made a great sticky sauce but the soy overpowered the salmon. I'm ready to try this recipe and curious if there is a way to creat a bit of sauce or glaze with it. Has anyone tried?
