Combine the tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg whites in a blender. Blend until frothy.
Spread some Tajín or coarse salt on a small plate. Cut a slit in the lime wedge and rub it along the rim of a glass. Roll the edge of the glass in the Tajín or salt to coat the rim.
Carefully fill each glass with ice and pour in the margarita.

Kevin Bell on 2025-11-23 (5 stars): I’ve made these several times. It is a can’t miss, perfect take on the classic margarita. Fresh and absolutely delicious. Only tweak from me is that I use a 50/50 blend of Dickey’s rib rub and flaked salt for the rim because my wife used to buy the rib rub by the case. I served three batches at the tailgate yesterday to universal acclaim. After getting those blended and put out, I turned to my fry station where I was set to deep fry 5 pounds of shrimp and hushpuppies for my food contribution. Only problem was that I realized I left the eggs for the wash in the fridge. After a "mild" panic and surveying every liquid in sight (Bloody Mary mix, maybe?!?), I remembered the carton of egg whites in the cooler with the margarita ingredients. Chillax everyone! Clayton not only got the tailgate started in fine style, he also saved the day on the fried shrimp!

Suzanne Del Rizzo on 2023-08-25 (5 stars): This was a great tasting margartita but definitely very strong with one cup of tequila. We made the mistake of using 1 cup then realized that one cup is equal to 8 shots of tequila. We split the batch between two of us and they were delicious but a bit too much alcohol for my liking for just two large drinks. Next time I will use half a cup. Great recipe though thank you!
Kelsie on 2023-06-12 (5 stars): By far the best margarita on the rocks recipe!
Jenna on 2023-02-12 (5 stars): Make this margarita recipe asap! I rarely mix drinks at home and this was so easy and absolutely delicious. I did use less tequila and wow this will be my new go to when making drinks at home. Thanks Alex & Clay!!
