Steps

  1. Prep the Glass: Pop a coupe glass in the freezer while you shake things up. A chilled glass is a pro move.
  2. Shake It Up:  In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vodka (or gin), orange liqueur, lemon juice, and lavender syrup. Shake until the outside of the shaker is frosty—about 20 seconds.
  3. The Rim Game:  On a small plate, mix granulated sugar with a little lemon zest. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of your coupe glass, then dip the rim into the sugar mixture.
  4.  Pour & Garnish: Strain your perfectly chilled cocktail into the glass. Top it off with a delicate sprig of lavender, take a moment to admire your work, and sip slowly.
  5. For the Lavender Syrup:  Steep the lavender in hot water for 2 minutes—just enough time to coax out that floral goodness without veering into potpourri territory.
  6. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  7. Strain into a clean jar, let cool, and store in the fridge for up to two weeks.
