The United States Capitol Police takes its duty and responsibility to ensure each individual's rights under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution are protected in a safe and open environment. In accordance with the Traffic Regulations for the U.S. Capitol Grounds, guidelines have been established to ensure events that are held inside the boundaries of the U.S. Capitol Grounds are conducted in a manner that protects public health and safety, while also ensuring the Congressional community can continue to fulfill its legislative responsibilities.
