Steps
Add yeast, water and sugar into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook. Let the yeast dissolve until frothy.
Once the yeast is frothy, add in the oil, salt and flour. Turn mixer on and knead the dough for 5 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed, or knead by hand until and firm ball is formed. The dough should be a little sticky. If it is overly sticky then add in a bit more flour.
Lightly grease or spray a bowl and place dough into the bowl. Cover and leave in a warm area until the dough rises and doubles in size. Approximately 30-45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Turn dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet (ex. pizza tray). Use the palms of your hands to press the dough into a large circle.
Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into 1 inch wide breadsticks (approximately 10 - 12 breadsticks), you do not need to push the breadsticks apart, they will bake side by side. Let the sliced dough rest for 10 minutes in a warm place.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the top is light brown.
Melt butter with minced garlic, garlic powder and minced parsley.
Once the breadsticks are baked, brush the melted butter all over the breadsticks. Then sprinkle with the parmesan cheese and serve.

Eric on 2026-01-15 (5 stars): Excellent! I worked at a Little Caesars back in the late 80’s. After trying multiple crazy bread copycat recipes, including a few of my own, this one was the closest I’ve ever come to Crazy Bread. I was very pleased. HOWEVER, you’ve forgotten the ever important corn meal on the bottom of the pan. Still five stars though!
Mone't on 2025-09-12 (5 stars): These came out GREAT! Just pulled them out of my oven and tried one. I just began my bread making journey and was a little skeptical of my skills. The recipe was easy to follow and I am more than pleased by the outcome. Thank you VERY MUCH 😁
