Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash bananas with brown sugar and white sugar until well combined.
  3. Whisk in eggs, greek yogurt, melted butter and vanilla.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and salt and stir with a wooden spoon until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts. Save a few for sprinkling on top.
  6. Fit a 9x5 loaf pan with a sheet of parchment paper hanging over the sides to form a sling. Spray with oil spray or butter on top of the parchment.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the top with reserved (or additional) chocolate chips and walnuts.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out mostly clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then use the parchment paper sling to lift it out and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
